Mazagan Spa in Morocco to open in late 2009
Developer Kerzner International’s US$250m (186m euro, £145m) joint venture with integrated building design group NORR will open in late 2009.
The Mazagan Resort development will be located 90km from Casablanca and include a luxury spa, residential homes, private beaches, a large hotel and an 18-hole Gary Player championship golf course.
Consultancy Raison d’Etre is responsible for developing the 21,527sq ft (2,000sq m) spa concept, which will focus on a Moroccan hammam experience and treatments, and include 20 treatment rooms. The spa’s design will be based on Middle Eastern traditions. Details:raisondetrespas.com
