McDonalds, the fast food giant, has reported record figures for the year.
The company has offered customers a cheaper alternative in the current economic climate and has seemingly reaped the benefits, experiencing a 5.7 per cent increase in sales to £1.71bn – its highest ever figure.
The company’s non-franchised sites generated a profit of £41.1m, compared to £27.4m in 2007.
McDonalds’ famous Big Mac has increased in price by 3 per cent on average, while the national inflation rate for food is 12 per cent.
The company as an international whole just reported its third quarter results, and saw global sales up 7.1 per cent.
