Mean Fiddler sells out of festival tickets in record time
Mean Fiddler, the music festival and live music venue promoter, has announced that all the tickets for its Reading and Leeds Festivals have sold out in record time.
The company has generated around £10m from ticket sales for the two events, taking place on 27-29 August, with 85,000 weekend tickets and 22,500 day tickets having been sold.
Vince Power, chair and founder of the Mean Fiddler Group – which also owns and operates The Jazz Café, The Astoria, The Mean Fiddler and The Forum – said: “Our Reading and Leeds festivals grow from strength to strength each year, entertaining more people this summer than any other UK music festival.
“I expect this festival to be our best yet in terms of enjoyment, entertainment and financial success for the group.”
Acts at this year’s Reading and Leeds festival will include The Darkness, The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes, 50 Cent and The Hives.
