Medical fitness in Fairmont
Fairmont General Hospital in West Virginia, USA is hoping to secure approval for a proposed US$9m (£4.84m, 7m euro) medical fitness centre in the latter part of this year.
The facility – which will promote disease prevention and healthy living – is currently in design phase. It will feature CV, resistance training and group fitness equipment, as well as indoor lap and therapy pools.
It’s target market will be middle-aged and older adults who have begun to develop signs of future problems, such as high cholesterol, irregular heart rhythms and diabetes, as well as patients whose doctors have recommend exercise.
