Spa and wellness industry veteran Mia Kyricos has resumed operations of her boutique strategic advisory firm, Kyricos & Associates.

Kyricos has been chief brand officer for spafinder Wellness, Inc., for the past three years, but stepped down after the move of its headquarters from New York to Miami was successfully completed, working remotely while traveling back and forth for the last year.

Kyricos – who has held a variety of senior management and executive roles for internationally-known brands including Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, EXOS, Canyon Ranch Health Resorts and Exhale Mind Body Spa – said it was “a great opportunity to reassume operations of Kyricos & Associates,” which she ran before taking over branding for spafinder wellness full-time.

The company offers cross-functional, strategic advising for the wellness and hospitality industry on a global scale, including a variety of services from overall company positioning, brand and product strategy, to executive management consulting.

Kyricos also serves on the boards of the University of California Irvine Extension and the Global Wellness Summit and chairs the Wellness Communities Initiative for the Global Wellness Institute – now a rapidly growing segment of the wellness industry, she said.

“The things that are happening tangentially in wellness – from destination spas and other wellness-driven hospitality operations to the development of wellness communities, tourism, workplace wellness solutions and consumer branding, for example – are incredible,” she said. “Business leaders are continuing to figure out how to monetise wellness in ways we haven’t seen before, while also attempting to do good for mankind. It's an exciting time.”
