Miele Professional has installed its leading commercial Little Giant washing machines and tumble driers at new-build sites for the LA Fitness chain of clubs throughout the UK.

The machines were installed specifically to handle a throughput of about 200 towels per day for each centre, allowing the laundry process to be handled in-house instead of being contracted out.

The Little Giant, available in either a 5kg or 6kg capacity, provides LA Fitness with a wash performance whose cost effectiveness works out at around 4p per towel.

Miele technology adapts to a wide range of markets, in particular due to the ‘profitronic’ technology available on their larger capacity machines. This permits the company to provide machines with individual programmes designed to handle the needs of each application.
