Minor Hotel Group rebrands Mozambique resorts
A 12-villa resort on Medjumbe, a tiny private island in the Quirimbas Archipelago off the northern coast of Mozambique, has been rebranded and launched as an Anantara property by Minor Hotel Group (MHG) and its long-term strategic partner Dubai-based Rani Investment.
MHG owns 25 per cent of the Anantara Medjumbe Island Resort & Spa that it operates. Rani Investment is the majority owner.
This property is one of three owned by Rani Investment that have been added to the MHG portfolio. On the mainland, the 185-key Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa has been rebranded as AVANI Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa. Matemo Island is another island property expected to reopen as an Anantara resort after an extensive renovation is completed.
