Carl Pratt named VP and GM of Miraval
Hotel, resort and wellness consultant Carl Pratt has joined Miraval as vice president and general manager of the brand’s destination spa in Tucson, Arizona.
Pratt – a hospitality veteran – worked as president and general manager of Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox, Massachusetts – which Miraval recently bought.
Pratt began his career at destination spa Canyon Ranch Lenox, where he was an opening team member and served as managing director, hotel director and spa director.
He then served as general manager at The Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College, where he also collaborated with Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business to create and implement an executive wellness education curriculum.
In his new role with Miraval, Pratt will oversee all operations of the flagship property and use his leadership and health and wellness expertise to build on Miraval’s reputation as a pioneer and thought-leader in the industry, the company said.
"In each of his previous roles, Carl Pratt has proven that he is a strong and skilled leader, and we are pleased that he will be at the helm of Miraval’s flagship property in Tucson,” said Steve Rudnitsky, president of Miraval Group. “We are confident that he will inspire growth and improvement throughout all areas of the resort.”
