Modular build planned for Butlin's hotel
United Modular Solutions has been appointed by Sir Robert McAlpine to provide modular build services on the new £25m Wave Hotel and Apartments at Butlin's Bognor Regis site.
The eight-storey property will be constructed using the volumetric modular system and it is expected that more than 530 units will be used in the development process.
Located on the western side of the holiday resort, the 244-bedroom hotel is set to include a series of white render, curves and balconies to ensure a nautical theme.
Facilities are expected to include a reception area accessible from both east and west sides; a digital entertainment hall; a café bar; and ancillary accommodation.
A spokesperson for United Modular Solutions said while the modular process would help keep costs down, it would also enhance build quality and reduce its environmental impact.
