Garland Leisure, the ten-pin bowling alley and family entertainment centre (FEC) operator, has continued its UK expansion with the acquisition of two more venues.

Edward Symmons' Hospitality and Leisure division has helped the group purchase leases for Star Bowl in North Shields and Lakeside Superbowl in Bishop's Stortford. Garland Leisure managing director Mehdi Afshar has also revealed that more acquisitions are to be completed in the coming weeks to strengthen its roll-out ambitions.

Afshar said: "We have further acquisitions agreed all of which are expected to be concluded over the next few weeks and have a requirement for more centres nationally."
