More dough at Krispy Kreme
Doughnut store operator, Krispy Kreme, has reported net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2004 up 46.8 per cent to $13m.
Total company revenues rose 41.1 per cent to $161.8m.
During the period, the company opened its first store outside North America in the Sydney, Australia suburb of Penrith and served the first-ever Krispy Kreme doughnut in a French-speaking environment when a store opened in Montreal.
The company, which at the end of the second quarter had 302 outlets, has recently announced plans to open its first factory store in Europe. This will be in October this year and situated in Harrods department store in London’s Knightsbridge. Details: www.krispykreme.com
