Morris appointed new Rajasthan Royals chief
Sean Morris, the former chief executive officer of the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA), has been named as the new chief executive officer of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket franchise, Rajasthan Royals.
Morris, who stepped down from his role at the PCA in October after nearly two years, will now be responsible for the operation of the Jaipur-based franchise, as well as aiming to develop the team's brand outside India. Rajasthan Royals chair Manoj Badale said: "Sean represents a great addition to the outstanding existing management team. He brings a strong mix of skills, and a real enthusiasm for the IPL. His international experience and relationships afford us great scope to continue to build the brand across the world."
Before his appointment as CEO of the PCA in January 2008, Morris played professional cricket for Hampshire County Cricket Club (HCCC) before joining equipment supplier Dunlop Slazenger.
