Multi-million pound redevelopment plan for Southend-on Sea
Southend-on-Sea could be transformed with a multi-million pound redevelopment of the Marine Parade, if recent plans submitted to Southend Borough Council are given the go-ahead.
The proposals, which have been submitted by Dedman Planning and Regeneration on behalf of a private investor, involve demolishing existing buildings between the Kursaal and the Pier and creating new four-, six- and 16-storey buildings.
The redevelopment, which is being referred to as the Marine Plaza, will feature a 160-bedroom hotel, a casino, leisure and entertainment facilities, restaurants, bistros and bars.
