Museum of Flight upgrades theatre facilities
The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington is reopening its William M. Allen Theatre after extensive renovations and technical upgrades.
The refurb has seen the 272-seat venue installed with new seats, new carpet, better acoustics and the ability to accommodate 3-D films.
To celebrate the re-launch the theatre will be among the first in the United States to premier Fighter Pilot 3D: Operation Red Flag
Following a young F-15 fighter pilot through Red Flag, the final training phase before pilots are sent into combat, the big screen 3D film brings audiences into the cockpit from the perspective of the fighter pilot.
"This is the movie of the Air Force for the next 30-40 years, as seen through the prism of a Red Flag exercise," stated Major Sam Morgan, fighter pilot and the film's Air Force Technical Advisor.
First showings of the film will be this Saturday (6 July).
