Mytime Active, the charitable health and leisure trust, scooped two trophies at the national WOW! awards for excellence in customer services recently.

In front of an invited audience of 250 customer service experts at the Troxy in East London, Mytime won Best Leisure Provider - against other finalists at Butlins and Legoland - and the Spa at Beckenham won Best Team.

Other entrants included Scottish Power, Cadbury's, Love Film, Richer Sounds, Honda and Tower 42, the City business and conference venue.

Mytime Chief Executive Steve Price said, "What a wonderful achievement and testimony to the enthusiasm and hard work of all our staff. Although we only signed up to WOW! recently we've already had amazing testimonials from customers including people where we've made a massive difference to their lives. This award is for all of you who work tirelessly to make a difference and ensure everyone has a healthy lifestyle."

Chief Executive of The WOW! Awards, Derek Williams, said "This is an award for people in the front line, chosen by real customers. Making them feel special is the least we can do to recognise the fantastic service that they give. We have people here from all walks of life - policemen, nurses, hospitality, utilities, professional services, manufacturing and contact centres. All of them have gone the extra mile and thoroughly deserve to be here."

Mytime Head of Communications Brian Turpin said, "It's a great result and one that makes me very proud of our people. WOW! has helped us reward the efforts of people that really make a difference to our customers and we'll continue to do everything we can to improve further."
