NBA star nets 'minority' Liverpool FC stake
LeBron James, a player with Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA), has acquired a minority stake in Liverpool Football Club (LFC).
It forms part of a deal between James' marketing firm, LRMR Marketing and Branding, and a subsidiary of LFC owner Fenway Sports Group - Fenway Sports Management (FSM). FSM is the global sales marketing devision of Fenway Sports Group, which was formerly called New England Sport Ventures and is headed up by John Henry and Tom Werner.
