NDIC to sponsor Nigerian sports events
Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has revealed that it has allocated NGN50m (£198,600, EUR231,900, US$313,700) for the sponsorship of popular sports events.
Competitions in seven states across six geo-political zones of Nigeria are to benefit from the newly-announced scheme, which is designed to help promote sports development.
Among the events to be sponsored by NDIC will be the Open Table Tennis Championship in Ekiti and the Under18 Senior Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship in Kano.
