NSA workshop for Armed Forces personnel
The National Skills Academy (NSA) for Sport and Active Leisure is to hold a workshop on 14-15 July to help ex-Armed Forces personnel forge a career path in the industry.
Explore Sport will take place in South East London and will offer 30 free spaces with the help of sponsorship support from the sport and active leisure sector. Individuals attending the workshop will be reviewed for their career preferences and options before receiving bespoke advice and training solutions, as well as networking opportunities.
Attendees will also benefit from free overnight accommodation; an activepassport to provide an online record of training and CPD; and access to NSA-approved training providers. Florence Orban, chief executive officer of the NSA for Sport and Active Leisure, said: "We want to make sure those leaving the Armed Forces are supported to make the right career choice.
"Our workshop will help them understand what options are available in sport and active leisure and how to access the training they deserve to achieve success." Lee Croucher, a former Royal Air Force officer, added: "With the National Skills Academy you can ensure you get the best possible return on your investment when you leave the Armed Forces by accessing the right training and career guidance, first time."
