Nakheel examines Dubai’s tourism
Real estate development company Nakheel has released the results of two surveys conducted to examine the importance of tourism to Dubai and how new property developments are contributing to its economy.
The first survey was carried out in the UK by OnLineBus, from 12-19 April using a sample of 2,020 adults aged from 16-64 years old.
The UK was chosen as the place where the largest number of visitors to Dubai are from. Two thirds of respondents would be enticed to visit Dubai by high-profile developments such as Nakheel’s The Palm the survey found. A total of 46 per cent also believed that Dubai’s construction projects were vital to the success of its tourism industry.
The second survey was conducted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by TNS from 9-12 April with 1,000 Dubai adults aged from 16-59 years old. A third of all respondents saw architectural tourism as very important to the future growth of their country’s economy.
