National Marine Aquarium to open new underwater theatre
The National Marine Aquarium is due to open a new £3.6m ExplorOcean Science and Technology Zone in spring 2006, with funding from The Millennium Commission and the South West Regional Development Agency.
ExplorOcean is an interactive exhibition space which aims to show how scientists overcome the challenge of studying the oceans.
Central to the zone is the AquaTheatre, where visitors will be able to watch underwater shows.
A new dive tank which will hold 120,000 litres of water is the latest addition to the attraction. Details: www.national-aquarium.co.uk
