National Trust director-general to step down
Dame Fiona Reynolds has confirmed that she is to step down as director-general of the National Trust (NT) after more than 11 years leading the conservation organisation.
Appointed to the position in January 2001, Dame Fiona has overseen the "transformational change" of the organisation and has seen both memberships and visitor numbers increase during her tenure.
Dame Fiona is to take up the post of master of Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, in autumn 2013 and will be the first women elected to the position in the institution's history.
