New Aldershot play area set to open
Rushmoor Borough Council (RBC) has announced that a new £215,000 destination play area being developed in Aldershot, Hampshire, will open in late spring.
The facility, which will be similar to the existing King George V playground in Farnborough, has been designed with the help of local young people. Play supplier Kompan will equip the new Aldershot Park play area, which has received £125,000 from the Big Lottery Fund and £30,000 from the government's Playbuilder initiative.
Further awards of £30,000 have been contributed by both the Aiming High initiative and Veolia Environmental Trust through the Landfill Communities Fund.
