New CEO for Canadian Olympic Committee
Chris Overholt has been named as the new chief executive officer and secretary general of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), replacing current incumbent Jean R Dupré.
Dupré is relinquishing the position due to personal reasons but will remain as a consultant, while Overholt has already introduced a new management structure at the organisation. COC president Marcel Aubut said: "Chris has the experience and the leadership qualities to drive the Canadian Olympic Team to be among the world's best."
Overholt formerly worked for the Miami Dolphins of the US' National Football League, as well as the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.
