New Chief Executive for Aquaterra Leisure
Aquaterra Leisure is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Cardy, who took up the post of Chief Executive of Aquaterra Leisure on 1 June 2010.
Peter is a highly experienced and influential leader in the charitable and not-for-profit sector, who has been the CEO of seven successful organisations. His last position was as the CEO of the Marine and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and previous to this was CEO of Macmillan Cancer Relief, the MS Society and also the Motor Neurone Disease Society.
Peter Cardy says: "I have a strong interest in the wellbeing of communities, and leisure and fitness provision is a vital part of this. Joining Aquaterra is an opportunity to join a thriving, progressive organisation where we're in a great position to build on current successes and explore opportunities for development."
Jonathan Gibbs leaves Aquaterra in a very sound position, after six years in the role of Chief Executive. He will be establishing a new company that intends to operate public services beyond the field of leisure.
