New Chinese waterpark selects Polin slides
Polin Waterparks & Pool Systems will be providing waterslides and water play areas for the new Caribbean Island Water Park in Yantai, China.
Located on China's east coast, the park is scheduled to open in late Spring 2013 and will feature a hotel and indoor and outdoor waterparks. Future growth plans include an entertainment centre. The 45,000sq m (11 acre) site is being developed by the Xin Guang Investment Company and designed by Dreampark International. Polin will be suppyling seven slides for the park, together with an interactive kids play area.
Caribbean Island Water Park will be split into indoor and outdoor sections. The former will feature a 98m (321ft) Family Turbolance slide; a 224m (735ft) Family Rafting Slide; and a 235m (771ft) Uphill Navigatour water coaster, one of Polin's newest offerings. The indoor area will provide a 180m (590ft) Uphill Navigatour; a 150m (492ft) Magic Hole; and two Aquatubes, one 33m (108ft) in length and the other 72m (236ft).
