The first Courtyard by Marriott-branded hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, has opened making the brand one of the first to have a hotel in all 50 US states.

The Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach hotel features 307 rooms, two swimming pools, a Spa Pure, a fitness centre, a business centre and a restaurant. "This is a huge accomplishment for the brand,"said Brian King, Courtyard by Marriott vice president and global brand manager. "The fact that Courtyard has a strong presence in the United States, and internationally, as well, is a testament to the brand's strong loyalty among both business and leisure travelers."

Already in 28 countries, Courtyard plans to open hotels in nine additional countries by the end of 2010.
