Physical Company has launched an equipment solution designed to meet the on-going training and programming requirements of clubs and trainers investing in new equipment. Rather than selling separate training courses, instructors are given the knowledge they need to get the most out of new kit via an interactive online service purchased in a package with the equipment.

Packages include foundation and group exercise courses to get started on the new equipment, with further courses available to keep instructors up to date with new programming while cutting out the complications and expense of arranging live training dates. New programming delivered to instructors on a regular basis means new classes to keep timetables fresh, helping the investment continue to make an impact after the first launch.

The online EX:CEL training platform consists of theory content, video uploads and multiple choice worksheets. As each module is completed the next module becomes available, thus progressing through the training at the student's own pace. As well as multiple choice worksheets for the theory modules, practical components of the certification will be evaluated based on uploaded video footage showing the student delivering the training.

From 2013 there will be Group Training Packages to choose from for BOSU® Balance Trainer, freeFORM, The Human Trainer and Kettlebells. Each package includes the equipment needed to run a group exercise class as well as two subscriptions to the foundation training course, and two subscriptions to the group exercise training course, with yearly programming updates. Training courses are REPs accredited, with certificates issued by email upon successful completion. Further courses for any of the equipment covered can be added to the same private online account, keeping all programming in one place. Courses can also be purchased separately from the equipment package to revitalise programming on existing equipment.

This all-in-one approach offers a simple solution for instructors to get the most out of an equipment investment without having to arrange live training, with all the transport and accommodation requirements. The EX:CEL platform provides a learning hub for trainers and instructors to continually update their skills - at their own pace, while keeping group exercise timetables new and exciting for customers.
