New GP referral scheme for Covent Garden
A new exercise on referral scheme will be starting at Jubilee Hall in Covent Garden in September.
The programme has been set up in partnership with NHS Westminster but will be entirely funded by Jubilee Hall Trust.
Local residents who have specific medical conditions will be able to be referred to Jubilee Hall by their GP for a series of one-to-one supervised exercise sessions with a highly qualified instructor over a 10-12 week period.
'Exercise on referral' has been used nationally to successfully treat medical conditions ranging from osteoporosis to depression, and Jubilee Hall Trust have been running schemes in Camden for nearly twenty years.
