New NMSI director appointed
Martin Earwicker – current chief executive of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory – has been appointed director of the National Museum of Science and Industry (NMSI).
Earwicker will take on the responsibility of running the entire NMSI family of museums from May.
The NMSI family includes the Science Museum in London‚ the National Railway Museum in York‚ the Locomotion in Shildon, the National Museum of Photography Film and Television in Bradford and the NMSI Wroughton in Wiltshire.
Earwicker is a visiting professor at the Imperial College in London‚ a fellow of the Institute of Physics and a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as a companion member of the Chartered Management Institute. Details: www.nmsi.ac.uk
