New PF2 fitness club opens in Worcester
PF2 has opened its second health club in Diglis Water, Worcester, and has plans to open its third in Cardiff Bay, Cardiff in 2009 as part of a new licensing scheme.
The 5,000sq ft Worcester gym features 40-stations, equipped by Escape Fitness, Precor and Gym80 as well as an exercise studio, Wii Fitness and Powerplate AIR vibration, a solarium and a coffee bar. Managing director of the PF2 brand Richard Noble said: "After working in the franchising business, I've decided to develop PF2 as a licensing operation to give more freedom to operators. A PF2 licence can vary to suit the level of support and operation required.
"Opening PF2 Worcester in this current economic climate could possibly be construed as reckless, however with the proven successful dynamics of the PF2 brand, I believe we will have another profitable PF2 operation." The first PF2 club in Malvern has been open for five years and has around 900 members.
