New Park Inn mountain resort for Norway
Park Inn by Radisson has announced plans to open a new 369-bedroom mountain resort in Norway later this year, which is due to launch ahead of the next ski season.
Due to open in December, the Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort is to include a spa and wellness area with 12 treatment rooms; an indoor swimming pool; and a sauna. Park Inn by Radisson - the mid-market brand from Rezidor Hotel Group (RHG) - will run the property, which is to be joint owned by developer Peab and SkiStar.
Other facilities will include a restaurant; a bar; and a conference centre with ballroom. Trysil is located in south east Norway and is around 2.5 hours away from Oslo by car. RHG president and CEO Kurt Ritter said: "We are delighted to further strengthen our presence in our key home market Norway and to also further grow our chic and contemporary resort portfolio."
Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort will expand RHG's Norwegian portfolio to 25. "With Radisson Blu already present in nearly every primary and secondary Norwegian city, our growth strategy is now heavily focused on Park Inn by Radisson," added Ritter.
