Jean-Ann Marnoch, previously executive director of Central YMCA (CYQ), has been appointed as the new REPs Registrar following the appointment of Cliff Collins as director of the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPs).

Jean-Ann, who officially starts her new role in September, said: “Having been a fitness instructor for the past 26 years, while progressing my career in many other avenues in the fitness industry, I feel a real connection with members of the Register.

"I’m delighted to be able to bring that empathy, as well as my extensive experience across the fitness industry, to my new role.

“I am passionate about high standards, with a commitment to sound values and integrity, and this makes me excited about having the opportunity to steer the future of REPs.”

John Greenway MP, chairman of SkillsActive Services and the REPs Trust added: “The next three to five years will be a defining period for REPs because its national role as a register of professionals will prove critical in helping to establish the industry as a government delivery partner.

"REPs will also play an important role in Europe and beyond because its operational model can be evolved and adapted by every EU country if they are serious about developing a fitness capability able to address the major public health issues every one of them currently faces.

“That is why Jean-Ann’s appointment is so important and why, having thought long and hard about the strategic challenges REPs will face, we are delighted to welcome a professional with an exemplary track record in all the areas we know to be critical to the future of REPs.”
