New Sofitel Hotel for London
Sofitel is opening the Sofitel St James, London next March, as part of plans to open more than 20 hotels on five continents in the next two years.
The 186-room hotel is located in the 125,000sq ft former headquarters of a Lloyds Bank subsidiary, on Waterloo Place. It will reflect the savoir-faire and French art de vivre that are the trademarks of the Sofitel chain, a brand of Accor Hotels and Resorts.
The hotel will include eight meeting rooms for up to 200 people, two reception areas and a boardroom
French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has been appointed to bring a French theme to the building's British culture, and chef Albert Roux will serve new classic French cuisine at the Brasserie Roux.
