New Tramore track could be ready by 2009
A new 20m euro (£13.92m) racetrack at Tramore Racecourse in County Waterford, Ireland, could be ready by 2009.
The three-track course – which will accommodate chase, national hunt and flat racing – has already been seeded and work on a two-storey, glass-fronted stand will begin in spring next year.
The track will be four furlongs longer than Tramore Racecourse’s existing track and will be 20m wider, enabling it to hold 20 runners compared to the current 13.
The new stand will house 10,000 spectators as well as host a hospitality area, a tote facility, bookmakers office, and other facilities for sponsors, riders and trainers.
