New Zealand vineyard spa for Langham
Langham Hotels International (LHI) has entered into a new management agreement with Isola Estate to expand its Langham Place concept outside Asia and into New Zealand.
The Langham Place brand will be used at the new property – the Vineyard Resort and Spa on Waiheke Island, an enclave off the coastline of Auckland in New Zealand.
Due to open in 2010, the boutique resort and spa will be situated among the 26 vineyards of Waiheke Island. There will be a large Chuan Spa as well as a gym, tennis courts, a restaurant and meeting facilities.
Designed by New Zealand-based CDA Architecture, the boutique resort and spa will feature Tuscan influences. There will be a large Chuan Spa as well as a gym, tennis courts and a restaurant.
Managing Director of Isola Estate Brent Gibson said: “The resort will create a new dynamism to the economy of Waiheke Island.”
There are currently two Langham Place-branded resorts open in Hong Kong and Koh Lanta in Thailand, with a further three scheduled to launch during 2008 to 2009 in China. Details: langhamhotels.com
