New art gallery opens in Berlin
A new art gallery called Am Kupfergraben 10 has opened on Kupfergraben canal in Berlin, Germany.
The 2,000sq m (21,528sq ft) modern building overlooking the Lustgarten and Museum Island was designed by David Chipperfield Architects in London, on behalf of the curators, Céline and Heiner Bastian.
The ground and first floors of the gallery currently host contemporary fine arts, while the second floor showcases Heiner Bastian’s own private collection, which presently features a Damien Hirst exhibition. The rooms on the third floor include a collection by Christiane zu Salm.
