New art museum to open in San Francisco
The new International Art Museum of America (IAMA) is set to open its doors to the public in San Francisco's Central Market Art District, US, on 15 October.
Waterfall gardens; meeting and event spaces; and a gift shop will form part of the 21,000sq ft (1,951sq m) IAMA, which will provide a new non-profit, permanent art attraction.
According to IAMA, its mission is to offer visitors the chance to view the "most beautiful and precious" works in a bid to promote spiritual health and cultural development.
Works by HH Dorje Chang Buddha III; Professor Yu Hua Shouzhi Wang; Wang Zhibin; and Guo Ruyu are among the first to go on display at the new attraction.
A spokesperson for IAMA said: "Each of the art works displayed or collected by the museum has been approved by a majority vote of the museum's board of directors."
