New attractions for Marine World California
Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, California, will introduce its new interactive Ocean Discovery attraction to the public on 12 March.
The new Caribbean-themed area will include a dolphin pool, a stingray tank and an outdoor rocky pool with warm water penguins.
Guests will be able to touch and feed the dolphins and stingrays while learning about the conservation and protection of the mammals.
Joe Mack, Marine World general manager, said: “Ocean Discovery is the only place where northern Californians can interact with these amazing ocean mammals first hand.
“Instead of just watching the Dolphin Harbor Show, you’ll now be able to touch and experience the dolphins for yourself, resulting in a remarkable, interactive experience.”
The park will also introduce a new Sea Lion Show – a performance combining sea lions and river otters demonstrating an array of animal acrobatics.
Marine World, near San Francisco, offers guests 35 rides, nine daily shows and more than 3,000 animals scattered around the parks 35 attractions.
