New bespoke pitch design service from Stuart Canvas
Stuart Canvas, which manufactures bespoke sports, commercial and industrial covers, is branching out to offer its customers Non Turf cricket pitches and nets.
Having previously only sold the carpets to clubs, Stuart Canvas's new service will include an end to end package incorporating building the pitch to supplying the carpet, steel frames and associated products, right through to the erecting of the netting. The company will also offer a repair and refurbish service for training nets and pitches requiring it.
In a further development, Stuart Canvas has been appointed to design, manufacture and install a Hover Cover for the New Subrata Sahara Stadium Gahunje in Pune, India. The Maharashtra Cricket Association commissioned the cover for the newly constructed cricket Gahunje stadium for use in the Indian Premier League.
Home of the Pune Warriors India, the new Gahunje Stadium has a capacity of 45,000 and will be the venue for as many as nine IPL matches this season. Image: a Hover Cover in use at Lord's Cricket Ground in London
