New brand for Starwood
Starwood Hotels and Resorts is to introduce a new hotel brand in early 2007, which aims to compete in the market with Marriott’s Courtyard and Hilton’s Garden Inn chains.
Currently called Project XYZ, the brand is inspired by the design of Starwood’s W Hotels but will be more affordable.
Designed by the Rockwell Group, each new hotel will feature between 90 and 180 loft-style guest rooms, private business booths, a fitness centre and swimming pool called Splash, an outdoor café and a spacious lounge area. Details: www.starwood.com
