New brochures to boost Welsh conference bookings
The Wales Tourist Board (WTB) is aiming to boost Welsh meetings industry revenue with the launch of two new conference planning and incentive guide brochures.
The meetings industry, which is currently worth £257 annually, is a lucrative sector within the Welsh economy and one that is more than capable of rapid expansion.
The two brochures – entitled the Conference Planner and the Incentive Guide – will cover all essential points for event organisers intending to hold a function in Wales, from basic facts and hire rates to creative site inspiration for more unusual events.
Senior business travel executive from WTB’s business tourism unit, Beth Harris, said: "Business tourism is a lucrative sector and we want Wales to increase its market share. The two new guides are just part of a whole host of initiatives that we hope will help us achieve this aim. Wales has a great choice of conference and incentive venues to suit everybody’s requirements." Details: www.visitwales.com
