New buyer for Hilton JAIC tower
The Hilton JAIC Tower in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is under new ownership.
The property features four food and beverage outlets, a health club, swimming pool, floodlit tennis courts, squash courts and shopping arcade as well as 175 serviced-apartments.
The Hirdaramani Group has purchased the tower – one of the tallest buildings in Colombo – following negotiations with Jones Lang LaSalle, acting on behalf of Japan Asia Investment Company (JAIC).
The number of international tourists to Sri Lanka has increased by 16.7% in 2002 and Craig Collins of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels thinks that the Hilton JAIC Tower is well positioned to take advantage of the increased arrivals.
“The Hilton JAIC Tower is one of Sri Lanka’s finest tourism establishments with a track record of consistent profit.”
Mr Kishore Hirdaramani says:
“We believe the property has great potential and already enjoys an excellent reputation and branding. Hilton is a first class international operator and we feel the property will go from strength to strength.”
