New collections boss for Transport Museum
David Bownes has been appointed head of collections at London Transport Museum.
He takes over from Oliver Green who retired in 2009 to become the museum's first research fellow.
Bownes first joined the Transport Museum as senior curator in 2002, having previously worked as a curator for the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum (1997-2002) and Imperial War Museum (1996).
