New 'dark' ride for Six Flag Belgium
Six Flags Belgium will unveil a new interactive 'dark' ride for the 2003 season.
The Challenge of Toutankhamon, designed and produced by Sally Corporation, will take riders into 'unexplored passageways of King Tutankhamon's womb' with passageways guarded by the Egyptian god Seth, Lord of Disaster and Chaos and his army of mythological gods and demons. With the possibility of grave-robbers looming, riders are entering a race to rescue the golden artefacts for safekeeping at the Cairo Museum of Antiquities.
'We set out to create a ride experience that would compete with any other ride, anywhere, 100 per cent, says John Wood, CEO of Sally Corporation. The ride features 54 animatronic characters, creatures and props, cobras, an eight-foot tall scorpion, a three-headed jackal and giant flying scarab beetles as well warrior mummies. The ride is set to pen at the Wavre, Belgium this Spring. Details: www.sallycorp.com
