New director and CEO for Indianapolis Museum of Art
Charles L Venable, the current director and chief executive officer of the Speed Art Museum in Kentucky, US, has been appointed as the new CEO of Indianapolis Museum of Art.
The museum has confirmed that Venable will take up the new position on 8 October and will succeed Maxwell L Anderson, who became Dallas Museum of Art director in January.
IMA board of governors chair June McCormack said: "Charles has a proven track record as a director, curator and fundraiser at leading museums across the country."
