New entrance facility for Dundee attraction
A new entrance facility has been unveiled at Camperdown Wildlife Park, Dundee, following a £1m investment designed to enhance the attraction's visitor experience.
Dundee City Council architects are behind the design of the venue, which boasts a learning room equipped with an interactive whiteboard and a cinema-style projector. It is hoped that the purpose-built space will help Camperdown to continue its education and conservation programme, while a new retail area and indoor café has also been created.
An iconic, large wooden bear created by staff members in 2003 has been retained as part of landscaping work around the entrance area and is located on the venue's approach path. First opened to the public in February, the new entrance facility was officially opened on 22 April by television presenter Lorraine Kelly.
