New exhibition for Conservation Centre
The Conservation Centre, which cares for the National Museums Liverpool’s (NML) diverse collections in the UK, is to undergo a complete refurbishment during the coming winter to offer visitors new displays in 2006.
The new exhibition will boast at its centre a working laboratory which will present the scientific work of conservators through displays and demonstrations as well as interactive science applications.
NML will fund the exhibition through a £570,500 joint grant from the ReDiscover fund, the Wolfson Foundation and the Wellcome Trust.
To make way for the exhibition, the current Caught in Time display will close on 18 September.
