New exhibition proposed for IWM Duxford
Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford has announced plans to develop a new permanent exhibition in the first phase of its Historic Duxford scheme.
The project is designed to explore the former Royal Air Force (RAF) station and airfield's history, which stretches back nearly 100 years from the end of World War One. Plans for the first phase will see the permanent exhibition housed in the old Watch Office, which was formerly manned by the duty pilot observing each day's flying activities.
IWM Duxford is also inviting members of the public to come forward with their thoughts and stories, with future phases planned across the attraction site. Image: (c) IWM Duxford
