New football pavilion opens in Worcestershire
A new pavilion, changing rooms and refurbished pitch have been officially opened in Welland, Worcestershire, by Football Foundation (FF) president Lord Pendry.
Little Malvern and Welland Parish Council was handed more than £99,000 by the FF towards the development of the new facility, in addition to a grant of £100,000 as part of the Football Association's capital allocation. It is anticipated that the pavilion will be used by all age groups at Welland Juniors Football Club and will enable the club to increase opportunities for local young people. The formation of a senior team is also planned.
