New-look gym for Chichester leisure centre
Chichester District Council (CDC) has announced the launch of a new-look fitness suite at the West Sussex town's Westgate Leisure Centre following a £288,000 refurbishment.
Funded by the local authority, the overhaul has included the installation of 78 pieces of new Technogym equipment across six categories - shape, power, balance, sport, move and fun.
The gym at Westgate Leisure Centre now offers four zones, including a functional training zone; a free weights zone; a cardiovascular zone; and a fixed resistance zone.
Olympic hopefuls Gemma Spofforth, Tom Hendrie and Tom Lord helped mark the opening of the gym, which has been refurbished ahead of the venue's 25th anniversary this year.
In addition to the installation of new equipment and the creation of new zones, Technogym has also undertaken a redecoration and re-carpeting of the fitness suite.
